JAS – Open Edition Fine Art Print
‘JAS’ by Jens Strandell is an Open Edition Fine Art Print based on the original oil painting, celebrating Swedish aviation, engineering and the unmistakable identity of the Saab JAS 39 Gripen.
The artwork depicts the Saab JAS 39 Gripen in flight, rendered in the iconic Swedish splinter camouflage inspired by the classic Viggen era. The distinctive geometric camouflage, Swedish markings and powerful profile of the aircraft create a direct connection between Sweden’s aviation heritage and its modern fighter aircraft.
Set against a bold composition of deep blue and yellow, the aircraft becomes the central focus of a work that combines technical detail with strong graphic expression. The result bridges Realism and Pop Art, transforming an icon of Swedish aerospace engineering into a contemporary piece of aviation art.
